SUBJECT: Fort Loudon Library to get $20,000 in improvements

Thanks to the Community Revitalization Assistance Program and the help of Pennsylvania State Representative Patrick Fleagle, who was Peters Township's representative at the time, the Fort Loudon Community Center was awarded a grant of $20,000 to improve the Fort Loudon Library building.

The library is located in the old railroad station on Mullen Street. The money will be used to remodel the large, unfinished room at the far end of the building as a children's room. This will give the library much needed space for children's activities and programs. Construction should be completed by Spring of 2003.
